About Conference 10th ICSD 2025

The International Conference of Sport for Development and Peace (ICSDP) was first launched in 2015 by Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) as a scientific platform to promote dialogue, collaboration, and innovation in the field of Sport for Development and Peace (SDP). Over the past decade, the conference has grown into one of the most significant academic gatherings in Asia for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers working at the intersection of sport, education, and sustainable development.

The ninth will take place in 5-7 November 2024 in collaboration with 9th International Conference of Sport for Development and Peace 2024 in School of Postgraduate Studies, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Bandung, Indonesia.

The 2nd ICSDP was held in 2016 at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, the 3rd in 2017 at Universitas Negeri Surabaya, the 4th in 2018 at Universitas Negeri Semarang, the 5th in 2019 at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, and the 6th (2020) was conducted virtually due to the global pandemic. The 7th took place in 2021 at Universitas Negeri Jakarta, the 8th in 2022 at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (Hybrid), and the 9th in 2024 was held jointly with the 9th International Conference of Sport History and Culture, bringing together experts from Asia, Europe, and beyond.

In its 10th edition, the ICSDP 2025 will once again be hosted by the Sport Education Study Program, School of Postgraduate, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. The conference aims to strengthen the role of sport and physical education in achieving Quality Education (SDG 4) through evidence-based policy, innovative pedagogies, and inclusive practices that link theory with implementation. The main discussions will focus on: Policy to Practice: Translating sport and education policies into effective implementation frameworks. Meaningful Physical Education: Promoting holistic learning through sport values and social inclusion. Youth Empowerment and Peacebuilding: Leveraging sport as a medium for character formation and community resilience. Sport Innovation and Digitalization: Integrating technology to enhance accessibility and quality of learning experiences. Selected papers from the 10th ICSDP 2025 will be considered for publication in SINTA-indexed journals, international peer-reviewed journals (Google Scholar, DOAJ indexed), and the official ICSDP 2025 Proceedings (ISBN, ISSN registered).

Abstract Submission

1. To submit an abstract, you must REGISTER your account for the conference.
2. Please fill out the registration form and click submit button.
3. After registering, please check your email (INBOX, SPAM, JUNK) and follow the instruction to VALIDATE your email.

5. After it is approved. You will receive a login password in your email (INBOX, SPAM, JUNK)
6. Use the login password to log in and start a submission.
 
The abstract must be written in English and contains the following sections: introduction, objectives, methods, results, conclusions, and keywords. The abstract must have a maximum of 300 words. The keywords are 3 to 5 words, written in alphabetical order.

Full-paper Submission

1. The full paper must be written in English according to the paper template (Please find it in the “Download” menu).
2. Full-paper must contain the following structure: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgement (optional), and References.
3. Full-paper/s must be revised according to the reviewer’s comments. Please note that the revision of your entire paper will be the final version (including author name/s, etc.) to be submitted to the publisher unless the editor/s make changes to improve the quality of the paper.
4. The author’s instructions and full paper template can be downloaded HERE or from the download menu on the official website.

PowerPoint submission and instructions

1) All presenters must prepare a PowerPoint/ Slide Presentation for the conference. Each presenter will be present for about 10-15 Minutes.
2) The PowerPoint should be between 7-8 slides, written in English using APA 6th edition citation styled, and please use the provided template (please find the template HERE or download it at the “Download” menu).
3) Please follow the following PowerPoint structure:
a. First slide: Title, Author(s), Affiliation(s).
b. Slide 2-3: Introduction
c. Slide 4: Methods
d. Slide 5-6: Result & Discussion
e. Slide 7: Conclusion
f.  Slide 8: References
(5) Keep text to a minimum (6-8 lines per slide)
(6) Proofread to avoid misspelling of names or words.

Presenter Presentation

Important Notes for Presenters 
1) The parallel session will be held with a hybrid system (in-person or online).
2) The allocated time for each presentation is (tentatively) about 10 - 15 minutes.
3) The room keeper in each breakout room will manage the session.
4) E-certificate for presenters will be awarded to those who fully participate in the conference sessions.

How to get to Bandung

The Jakarta International Airport, also known as the Sukarno-Hatta or Cengkareng Airport, is served by major airlines worldwide. From Jakarta, you can take the train, shuttle buses, or travel mini buses to get to Bandung.
 
Getting to Bandung by Train
 
The train is a comfortable means of transportation to get to Bandung. You can use the airport shuttle bus to the Gambir Train Station. The shuttle bus leaves approximately every 15 minutes, and the journey lasts about 30-60 minutes, depending on the traffic. From the train station, you should take the train to Bandung. The train leaves almost every hour. The first train leaves at 5.30 am, while the last train leaves at 8.30 p.m. on weekdays and 9.30 p.m. on Sundays. The 180-km-ride takes about 3 hours.
 
Getting to Bandung by Shuttle Buses
 
Prima Jasa is an intercity shuttle bus directly traveling to Bandung. You can get the ticket at the Prima Jasa travel desk not far from the exit of the International arrival gates. The bus leaves every hour and gets to Bandung in 3-4 hours.
 
Getting to Bandung by Travel Services
 
Such services as Lintas, X-Tran, Day-Tran, etc., offer you mini buses traveling to Bandung for 24 hours.
