About Conference

The 5th International Conference of Sport for Development and Peace, in collaboration with the International Conference of Sport History and Culture, will be held in Bandung, Indonesia, from 21-24 November 2022, with online and in-person participation (hybrid system).

In line with the United Nations development issues for 2015-2030, which set the umbrella for development in all countries in the world, namely: “Sustainable Development Goals” (SDGs), which expressly stipulated in the field of sports the issue of “Sport for Development & Peace” (SDP). SDP has now become a strategic issue to be disseminated worldwide and has become an attractive research field for scientists in physical education and sports.

At the 5th ICSDP 2022, the conference is in collaboration with the 2022 International Conference of Sport History and Culture theme Sports Policy and Development in ASIA. The conference aims to provide a platform for stimulating and lively interdisciplinary discussions on sports in Asia.

The Conference will be jointly organized by Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), The Asian Journal of Sport History & Culture (AJSH&C), Routledge, Taylor & Francis, Asia-Pacific Association of Sport Studies (APASS), Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA), and Shanghai University of Sports.

Selected presentations/abstracts will be identified for development and publication in the AJSH&C or the ASEAN Journal of Sport for Development and Peace (AJSDP). Taylor & Francis and the AJSH&C editorial board will conduct a workshop during the conference about Peer Reviewed and will get a certificate of completion. In addition, they will assist the contributors in developing their papers for publication.

Abstract Submission

1. To submit an abstract, you must REGISTER your account for the conference.
2. Please fill out the registration form and click submit button.
3. After registering, please check your email (INBOX, SPAM, JUNK) and follow the instruction to VALIDATE your email.
4. Please wait until Admin manually approves the registration
5. After it is approved. You will receive a login password in your email (INBOX, SPAM, JUNK)
6. Use the login password to log in and start a submission.
 
The abstract must be written in English and contains the following sections: introduction, objectives, methods, results, conclusions, and keywords. The abstract must have a maximum of 300 words. The keywords are 3 to 5 words, written in alphabetical order.

Full-paper Submission

The full paper must be written in English according to the paper template (Please find it in the “Download” menu). Full-paper must contain the following structure: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgement (optional), and References. Full-paper/s must be revised according to the reviewer’s comments. Please note that the revision of your entire paper will be the final version (including author name/s, etc.) to be submitted to the publisher unless the editor/s make changes to improve the quality of the paper. The author’s instructions and full paper template can be downloaded HERE or from the download menu on the official website.

PowerPoint submission and instructions

1) All presenters must prepare a PowerPoint/ Slide Presentation for the conference. Each presenter will be present for about 10-15 Minutes.
2) The PowerPoint should be between 7-8 slides, written in English using APA 6th edition citation styled, and please use the provided template (please find the template HERE or download it at the “Download” menu).
3) Please follow the following PowerPoint structure:
a. First slide: Title, Author(s), Affiliation(s).
b. Slide 2-3: Introduction
c. Slide 4: Methods
d. Slide 5-6: Result & Discussion
e. Slide 7: Conclusion
f.  Slide 8: References
(5) Keep text to a minimum (6-8 lines per slide)
(6) Proofread to avoid misspelling of names or words.

Fees and Payment (1)

NOTE:
Presenters who submit more than one abstract will get a 40% discount for the second abstract, 50% for the third abstract, and 60% for the fourth abstract.


Registration fee for Presenters
1. The registration fee includes APASS membership for one year (one of the benefits is a FREE download of all of the articles from Taylor & Francis), both in-person or online.
2. Registration fee for in-person presenter includes ID Card, E-certificate for Presenter, e-proceeding, coffee break, and lunch.
3. The registration fee for an online presenter includes an ID Card, E-certificate for the Presenter, and e-proceeding.
4. E-certificate will be awarded only to presenters who have presented their presentations either in-person or in zoom webinar.
5. The deadline for the registration fee is 15 October 2022

Presenter Presentation

Important Notes for Presenters 
1) The parallel session will be held with a hybrid system (in-person or online).
2) The allocated time for each presentation is (tentatively) about 10 – 15 minutes.
3) The room keeper in each breakout room will manage the session.
4) E-certificate for presenters will be awarded to those who fully participate in the conference sessions.

How to get to Bandung

The Jakarta International Airport, also known as the Sukarno-Hatta or Cengkareng Airport, is served by major airlines worldwide. From Jakarta, you can take the train, shuttle buses, or travel mini buses to get to Bandung.
 
Getting to Bandung by Train
 
The train is a comfortable means of transportation to get to Bandung. You can use the airport shuttle bus to the Gambir Train Station. The shuttle bus leaves approximately every 15 minutes, and the journey lasts about 30-60 minutes, depending on the traffic. From the train station, you should take the train to Bandung. The train leaves almost every hour. The first train leaves at 5.30 am, while the last train leaves at 8.30 p.m. on weekdays and 9.30 p.m. on Sundays. The 180-km-ride takes about 3 hours.
 
Getting to Bandung by Shuttle Buses
 
Prima Jasa is an intercity shuttle bus directly traveling to Bandung. You can get the ticket at the Prima Jasa travel desk not far from the exit of the International arrival gates. The bus leaves every hour and gets to Bandung in 3-4 hours.
 
Getting to Bandung by Travel Services
 
Such services as Lintas, X-Tran, Day-Tran, etc., offer you mini buses traveling to Bandung for 24 hours.
